Our Honeymoon - Kauai, Hawaii
30 June 2002 through 06 July 2002

After all the partying from the night before in Lihue, we woke up early the next morning (July 5th) in excited anticipation of what was to follow that day: sea kayaking adventures along the north coast!! A few days before, we had signed up for a half-day snorkeling and kayaking trip with Kayak Hanalei, which is a family run business owned by Dave and Goldie Stewart.

Dave (pictured below) gave us a quick overview on how to handle and maneuver our kayak; we were fast on our way. Dave led the journey, regaling us with history and background on the tropical island of Kauai. Along the way, we were even able to catch a glimpse of the large resort which was to be our home for the night: the Princeville Resort (pictured below).

After a few hours of paddling and sight-seeing along the coast, we took to the shores and enjoyed a delicious picnic Goldie had packed earlier that day complete with sandwiches, apple bananas, cookies, and bottled water. After lunch, a bunch of us snorkeled nearby and enjoyed the wonderfully scenic view surrounding us.
